Ipswich, Chester, and Leicester have all been HIPPO-FIED thanks to the suggestions of dozens of you – so thank you for submitting your suggestions. What is Help Design Your Hippo Mat™?
35 towns and cities across the UK are each getting their own unique Hippo Mat™ car play mat this year – they’re being designed as we speak – with your help!
Now and always, we strive for every single Hippo Mat™ to be filled with love, creativity, magic, and authenticity. Part of our drive is to be community-driven: your Hippo Mat™ is based on where YOU live, therefore it makes sense you have a say as to how it looks.
For these reasons, the public will always be able to make suggestions on how the design should look and which landmarks it should include.
Not only can you win some awesome prizes for helping out, you’ll have the satisfaction that YOUR suggestion is on one of the coolest items of the year 😎
One suggestion (and the person who suggested it) will be picked at random on 31st May and be posted on our Instagram and our Facebook (the winner will be contacted directly)

In January, we released the Aberdeen Hippo Mat™ design. Based on your feedback, here are some changes we've recently made to the design:
- University Student wearing a gown has been added to the University
- Boat has been added to the offshore wind farm
- Girdle Ness Lighthouse has been slightly re-situated and re-named (we named the wrong lighthouse before - apologies 😞)

The pre-school team at Devonshire Primary Academy in Blackpool has incorporated their free #BlackpoolHippoMat, gifted to them through Reg’s Pledge, in to their Geography lessons. They also plan to use it during our upcoming History Day when we focus specifically on the history of Blackpool. Amazing!
